A little math

Third trimester+sinus congestion=awake at 5:00 a.m.  And I can’t get back to sleep.

Plus I was up at midnight and 3 to pee.

All worth it in the end, but goodness sakes alive, it will be nice to sleep all night again.  And I know, I know, newborns are up at night, too.  But I would much rather be up with my sweet daughter than with cotton mouth and cracked lips from sleeping with my mouth wide open since I can’t breathe through my nose.

Anyone ever used a neti pot?  I’m think I’m going to give it a go.  Wish me luck!

Let’s see.  What else.  We had a bunch of friends over Friday night for fajitas and fun.  It was great!  We have been so blessed with the friendships we’ve made over the past two years!

I  started painting baby girl’s room yesterday.  I bought a few samples at Sherwin Williams and I think I have decided on the colors.  I usually don’t agonize over paint color.  I just pick one and go for it.  I’m not sure if it’s because it’s pink and I’ve never done pink before, or if it’s because I suffer from an extreme case of P.I.I. (Pregnancy Induced Indecisiveness).  At any rate, I was such a dork at the paint store yesterday.  One employee actually said that I looked lost.  Yup, that about sums it up.

That’s all I got for now.  I think I’ll watch some tv and hopefully doze off for the next hour or so until the fam wakes up.   Have a great Sunday!

  1. I’m sorry you can’t sleep Meg! I actually bought a neti pot from cvs a few weeks ago. I never got up the nerve to use it and I took it back the other day! let me know how you like it.

I’m SO sad I’m not there to help you paint and make those “pink” decisions! I’m pretty bummed about it. I know you’ll do wonderful though, send me pics! Love You~

  2. 1) sorry you aren’t getting sleep!
    2) i can’t wait to see the nursery, i’m sure the pink is perfect
    3) i got desperate the last trimester and did the neti pot many times. it sort of feels like when you get water up your nose in the swimming pool but it actually did help for awhile. it is a huge freak show using it though. we got my dad to do it and videotaped it, hilarious! i say go for it, it can only help.

  3. i use a neti pot and love it. it kinda feels weird, but it’s worth it. i’ve told many people about them and now they all swear by it. to each his own, though. to each his own.

also, how’s the name hunt going?

  4. I have never used a neti pot, but we have some friends that have. They are actually using it on one of their kids right now. They think it’s great! I can’t wait to see the room.
