Spring Break: Part 4

Once again, our original plan changed for Thursday.  We were going to head to Schlitterbahn, but as it turns out, Maisy had her heart set on the beach, and Ryan doesn’t really like water parks (sidenote…doesn’t like water parks??  Seriously?  I LOVE water parks, and even though he tried to explain what he doesn’t like, I still just don’t understand!)  Derek and I decided that we would probably have just as much fun at the beach, and I’m so glad that we changed our plans.  The beach was actually relaxing, even with 5 little kids!  After a full day of activity on Wednesday, a nice relaxing day at the beach was just perfect.  It was only about 70 degrees on Thursday.  It was a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky, but not exactly the kind of weather where you want to get in the water, which was good because it takes out that whole drowning thing.  The kids played in the sand and had so much fun.  When we were leaving, Connor asked if we could go back the next day.  Of course we didn’t, but I can’t wait until we go this summer!

I think this was the only time Logan ventured into the water.  I thought he was crazy!  It was cold!

Derek did some soccer drills with Camryn.  We are training her young to either be a soccer player or a volleyball player.

Connor’s masterpiece.  He had some help from Derek, but he was so proud of his castle!  And, just for the record, it wasn’t a castle…it was a torture chamber.  That’s boys for you.

Connor and Maisy.  Future lovebirds?  Ha.  Those childhood arrangements never work out, but just in case, here’s their childhood beach picture to hang in their house.

Love these kids.  Loved our week together.  They sure make me smile!

It’s Sunday night now, and our Spring Break is officially over.  We had fun, but I love getting back into our normal routine.  Bring on Monday!
