Sweetest {Clear Lake Texas Newborn Photographer}
This little guy is extra special, not just because he’s extra cute and extra sweet, but he’s also my nephew. I took Kathy’s maternity pictures just a few weeks ago and now Jackson is here! He’s was just 6 days old in these photos. And I could not believe how alert and active and strong he was already! I wondered if we would even be able to get him asleep. He was so alert and busy checking out his surroundings, and then my newborn assistant had to leave (aka my friend Angela who is like the baby whisperer when it comes to getting these little guys to sleep!) But even if we didn’t get those sleepy shots, at least we got this sweet wide awake one.
But all it took was a little trip outside and he drifted right off to sleep. I love taking newborns outside if the weather cooperates! And seeing that we broke a heat record on this day, outside was plenty warm enough for Jackson. He was little jaundice, so we joked that his session also doubled as his photo therapy time.
I am having the hardest time picking a favorite, but this one is definitely up there!
And I love his sweet face in this one.
He makes women everywhere swoon. He’s handsome, cuddly, and at just 6 days old knows that carefully selected flowers can add just the right touch. Girls love receiving flowers, and I’m glad I could be a part of teaching him that important life lesson.
I can’t wait to watch him grow up. He is so loved.

The Birthday Girl {Houston Children’s Photographer}
I spent yesterday morning hanging out with this sweet little lady. And what a sweetie she was!
She is turning one at the end of the month. I love one year old photo shoots. They are just on the verge of growing out of that baby stage into full fledged toddlers. Their personalities are really starting to show. And they are always, always cute! Miss F was no exception. Her mom had warned me that she’s a little slow to warm up to strangers, and sure enough, it did take a bit to get her smiling. But with the powerful combination of singing and peekaboo, we finally got her.
They brought along all kinds of cute outfits, baskets, and props for our shoot. It was so fun working with all the different stuff! I especially loved the giant number 1 decorated with balloons. I was also so glad that they brought along a cake so we could do a cake smash at the end of our session. The cake smash pictures always turn out so cute. Miss F. had been getting just a bit fussy before we stripped her down and pulled out the cake. But as you can see, she clearly perked right back up.
And one more to share. She has such big, gorgeous blue eyes! I love this picture.
Thanks so much for braving the humidity, the ants, and the stickers so we could get these pictures! It was really great to meet you guys.
