Room a la Baby Girl

One wall down, three to go.

I’m not scared of a little color on the walls. Nope, I’m not. And just for kicks, here are some pictures of the rest of the room. I figure the mess will make my after pictures all the more dramatic.

See my cute little dog in the pictures? Well, let me just tell you that right about now I feel like the worst dog owner in America. A little while ago, he was cuddled up at my feet on the end of the couch. Using his super doggy nose, he discovered a bit of food spilled on the front of my shirt. In the process of trying to lick it up, he stood with his back legs on my leg and his front legs on my uterus. And my full bladder. His back legs slipped, scratching me, so I did what (I’ll admit) we’ve done a million times to Austin. I pushed him off the couch onto the floor. Only the coffee table was a little closer to the couch than normal, and he hit the table. I felt sort of bad when I found him in the kitchen awhile later, huddled under the table. I picked him up and brought him back to the couch for some tlc. An hour later, he started yelping out of nowhere. He tried to walk and currently isn’t putting any weight on one of his back legs. I think I broke my dog!! I promise it was an accident…I feel like such an abuser. My poor dog. If he’s still hurting in the morning we will definitely be taking a trip to the vet. Do you think vets have to report suspected abuse? Imagine if you took your kid to the pediatrician with an injured leg and you said that you pushed them off the couch and they hit the table. Yeah, I don’t think that would go over well. I really feel awful and I hope I didn’t break him! I actually love the little guy…slowly and surely, over the past 6 months, he’s really grown on me.

Please don’t call PETA. Thanks.

Sorry about your poor puppy, that stuff seems to happen. I sure hope he’s fine by morning.

  2. I like the one wall! Looks like a lot of work…good luck…don’t get high on paint fumes…in fact…shouldn’t Derek being doing the painting at this stage?
