Hurricanes don’t ruin everything {Galveston Beach Photographer}

I’m so glad that despite the last minute circumstances, I was able to meet up with this sweet family at the beach this week.  They had to change their vacation plans at the last second because of Hurricane Isaac and ended up in Galveston instead of Florida.  I know that the gulf beaches of Galveston can’t compare to the Gulf beaches of Florida, but they made the best of it and were all smiles at our session.  So take that Hurricane Isaac!  You can dump rain and try to ruin vacations, but you can’t take the fun and happiness out of a family vacation!

These three kiddos had me laughing and smiling our whole session.  They were sweet and fun and adorable, the perfect combination for great pictures.

The oldest of the bunch was an adventurer at heart.  He couldn’t wait to wrap up the photo taking part so he could dig for crabs and swim.  He knows his priorities!  But despite the fact that he would rather be swimming than taking pictures, he was all smiles for the camera.

The littlest of the bunch was just the opposite–and as a mama of two boys myself, I totally get boys that are so different!  He loved the sand and running around, but had no interest in getting wet or muddy.  No problem, buddy.  We can work around that!  As you will see, he was all smiles and happy as can be.

Right in the middle of these two handsome guys is this sweet little princess.  She is just the perfect mix of girly-girl and rough and tumble.  I find that is often the case with the girls in a boy dominated family!  She was spunky and sweet and has a beautiful head of hair that would make any grown woman jealous.  She brought so much personality and fun to our evening.

Thank you guys so much for contacting me and allowing me to spend the evening with y’all!  It was really wonderful to meet you guys.

The Toddler Life {Leage City Children’s Photographer}

I keep telling myself that I’m going to go on maternity leave one of these days, seeing as I’m now 34 weeks pregnant and chasing after toddlers is getting more and more difficult!  But the bottom line is I love my job, and I simply don’t want to stop yet!  These two little cuties definitely brought the energy, but they were so much fun and so cute.  Totally worth all the sweat and the sore legs I’m sporting today.

With big brother being just two and a half, and little brother just 11 months old (but 100% mobile and all over the place!), I was honestly a little shocked when I got home and saw this photo.  I think they sat on this stool together for about 2.4 seconds before they both hopped off and ran in different directions.  Cracks me up.  There is just so much world to explore!  Why on earth would two busy little boys want to sit in one spot together, right?  But when I could get there attention, even for just a split second, the camera loved them.

It’s no surprise they are such photogenic little boys.  Their mom and dad are the same way!  They are a gorgeous family, no doubt about it.

And I just have to include this photo as well.  This pretty much sums up a photo shoot with two young toddlers!  We were trying one last time to get the boys together, and big brother was honestly being so sweet.  You can see how the little man felt about it all!  He was so done!

Isn’t this just the reality of life with kids?  I love it.  And I loved these boys, this session, and I’m so glad that I brushed off maternity leave for one more week.

Full of life {Houston Children’s Photographer}

This was probably one of the most grueling photo shoots I’ve ever done, which I think is to be expected when you combine two busy preschoolers with August heat in Houston and add in my big pregnant belly.  But, despite the massive amount of sweating and huffing and puffing done on my end, I had a blast with this family!  The kids were so cute and so full of energy–just the way I like them.  Mom and dad and were beautiful and took the whole session in stride.  They really wanted to capture some fun, personality filled shots.  Well, they definitely delivered the personality!

We took some…what you might call “normal” family pictures, but they really wanted to take this picture, too.  This pretty much sums up the craziness of life with toddlers, doesn’t it?!

The kids also showed me their sweetest smiles.  They are such beautiful kids!
