I can’t even begin to understand how it’s been almost a year since this guy joined our family. He’s gone from this little peanut of just 5.5 pounds of pure sweetness:
to this almost-walking, into everything, smiley-little-almost-toddler in the blink of an eye.
He is, I’m convinced, the world’s happiest baby. Case and point: I decided to take him out for this little photo shoot one afternoon when he fell asleep in the car for 90 seconds, thus ruining what would normally be a 2 hour nap. Since he wasn’t sleeping, we went and took pictures instead. And look how happy he was!
I also took him out one evening for a little shoot–and truth be told, I have plans for one more. This is my last baby to celebrate his first birthday, and I’m planning to take full advantage of the fact that he is happy as a clam to have his photo taken! This is not my normal style, but I loved how that light was beaming down right on him like that.
It makes me think about what a gift this little guy has been. We call him the “cherry on top” in our family. He’s a gift, and not just for me because it’s no secret that I love babies, but for my older three kids and husband, too. They are all crazy about him–over the moon crazy. We cannot imagine life without our little Sullivan. God knew we needed him, and I’m so thankful for him.
