This little guy isn’t quite 1 yet, but he will be next week! I love sessions with this age. They are so full of personality and everything is new and fun and exciting. Plus, they are just plain cute! Tyce is no exception, and I loved taking pictures of him!
Tyce makes this face all the time and it cracked me up! We would make a monkey sound and he would immediately start doing it right back. He takes the phrase monkey see monkey do to a whole new level!
He’s not quite walking yet, but he is so close! He loves to walk around like this.
And we even got a series of shots with him standing up, big and tall!
You can see how he was clapping for himself in that one. And we were clapping right along with him. Turning one is definitely something that deserves a round of applause!
I’ve had the privilege of watching this sweet girl grow from a snuggly little 4 month old to a wiggling and crawling 9 month old to a full fledged walking and talking one year old. We will meet one more time to get some great outdoor walking shots, but this weekend’s session was all about the cute 1 year old props and the cake smash!
Kyra’s mom had the cutest outfits and props for our session. Kyra, like most one year olds, was super busy and not too interested in staying on the backdrop. But no worries! She loves this book, and we were able to first get this sweet picture of her reading her favorite book, and then distract her enough to stay for a few more shots.
Again, look at her cute hat and sash! Considering how many outfit and accessory changes we squeezed in, Krya did great! She is so cute–still a fairly serious little girl, I think especially if she knows the camera is on her. I’m sure she is all smiles at home! I love her serious little face. You can tell she is a smart little girl, taking in the world around her.
She was so cute playing with her balloons a cake!
And she even tried a bite of her cake! We weren’t sure she was going to make it into her mouth, but she did. And luckily, we got the one little taste on camera!
Happy birthday, sweet girl! I can’t wait to see what this next year will bring. Lots of love and adventure, I’m sure of it!
I think I’m allowed to say that this is my very favorite baby to photograph since he’s mine. I can’t believe that Sullivan is 4 months old already! I took some 4 month photos of him today that are a little different than what I typically do, but it was fun to play with a more traditional studio set up. And I couldn’t have asked for a better model! It’s hard to believe that he’s gone from this at 6 weeks old:
To this at 4.5 months old:
He is seriously the happiest baby, breaking out into this grin pretty much any time someone talks to him.
He’s chunked up quite a bit this past month! He’s still a little peanut, but he’s starting to get those great baby rolls and chubby cheeks.
Although as far as I’m concerned, he can just go ahead and stay little. I’m enjoying his baby-ness so much and don’t want him to grow up too fast!
Taking pictures of this sweet family was a wonderful way to spend my Saturday afternoon. Even though it hasn’t been too long since I had a newborn of my own, I enjoyed each and every moment I got to spend with this sweet little–scratch that–big guy! He was over 9 pounds at birth and at 10 days old was definitely one of the strongest and biggest newborns I’ve taken photos of.
But, man big or little, he is so precious!
He’s one lucky guy with both a big brother and a big sister. They are already so sweet to him and are pretty enamored with the little guy.
I love this picture of mom soaking in the perfect newborn-ness of her little man. There just isn’t anything like it.
And finally, I just have to share a couple of the big sister and big brother. Little Miss is clearly so full of personality And I am in love with those curls!
Big brother is so handsome, and he has some of the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen! Such a little cutie.
Big families are so fun and I know there is lots of love and adventure ahead for this crew!
